Mr. Koch's educational background includes a BA in accounting from Wichita State University (1964), and a Juris Doctorate from Washburn School of Law (1967). He regularly speaks to various groups on tax topics including such groups as the Kansas Bankers Association and Kansas Independent Oil & Gas Association He also teaches tax courses for the Kansas Society of CPAs and other organizations. Prior to joining Koch Siedhoff Hand & Dunn, LLP in 1981, he was the partner in charge of the tax department in the Wichita office of a national CPA firm. He is a member of the Wichita Estate Planning Council. He recently served on the Board of Directors of Kansas Society of CPAs and was the Chairman of the Society's Federal and State Taxation committee.
Mr. Siedhoff, a life-long resident of Wichita, received a BA in accounting from Wichita State University (1964). In 1970, Mr. Siedhoff was one of the founding partners of the Wichita office of Knudsen Markel and Monroe, which later became Koch Siedhoff Hand & Dunn, LLP. He is active in many civic, non-profit, and church activities. He currently serves as advisor to the Board of Directors of Chisholm Trail State Bank and Chisholm Trail Financial Corporation.
Mr. Hand's educational background includes degrees in accounting and economics from Emporia State University (1970), and he holds a Kansas CPA certificate. As a partner with Koch Siedhoff Hand & Dunn, LLP, his responsibilities include accounting and auditing, and data processing. Mr. Hand is responsible for management of the firm's in-house computers. Prior to joining our firm in 1981, Mr. Hand was a manager with the local office of a national CPA firm charged with responsibility for supervision of that office's Management Consulting Services Division. In that capacity, he gained extensive experience in design, selection and implementation of data processing systems, and preparation, organization and use of financial information in decision making and planning through the use of financial models and projected financial statements. Additionally, he was responsible for that firm's computer auditing activities. Prior to his transfer to the Management Consulting Services Division, Mr. Hand was an audit manager with the firm. His auditing background includes extensive experience in wholesale distribution, manufacturing, banking and service industries. Mr. Hand has prepared and presented many seminars and educational programs in the fields of data processing and computer auditing.
Mr. Dunn joined the firm in 1982. His educational background includes degrees in accounting and business administration from Emporia State University (1980). Mr. Dunn has over twenty years of diverse accounting experience. His responsibilities include accounting, auditing, taxation services and our firm's quality control. Mr. Dunn's audit and accounting background includes experience in manufacturing, wholesale distribution, oil and gas, service industries, and non-profit organizations. He has particular interest in business consulting, accounting systems, business and economic development incentives, and financing services. He is a member of the Kansas Society of CPA's, American Institute of CPAs, and the National Association of Accountants. He is also active in various organizations, holding offices related to the accounting field.
